![]() This pedal works as described and is in very good condition, exhibiting only lighter wear. Can be set to sound like original signal (what some call "transparent")!.The Lightspeed can be set to be "transparent," but can also drive your signal to the edge. The Lightspeed Overdrive is sensitive to pick attack and has a different "feel" than other overdrives. Blending with the tone of the guitar and amplifier, this pedal has rich harmonics and complex but smooth clipping. ![]() Why "organic"? Well, simply put, it's the clearest, most natural feeling, and best overdrive we've heard for the player looking for a natural drive tone. Biggest things are ability to cleanup with volume knob and don't cut bass. The Lightspeed Organic Overdrive is a very natural sounding overdrive. Use a myriad of guitar and amp types so would want something that works well with most combinations (guessing a transparent overdrive would do). Again, pleasing but show an obvious mid-oriented footprint. We get in many oddities, rare and vintage products, most of which go fast. Some things never even make it to the site so stay up to date on our used collection. Even the mythical Klone's to me aren't transparent. Greer Lightspeed Organic Overdrive Pedal - Used Natural, touch sensitive overdrive from Greer 'Gone, Baby, Gone' This one is sold. They can/do sound pleasing but objectively alter the EQ in a big way. Tried many Bluesbreaker and TS types and to me they are not transparent at all. What are people using or have compared with a lightspeed? The closest I've come to a good alternative is the Menatone Red Snapper but didn't find it to have great volume knob cleanup. I'm talking like going from 10 to 7 on a strat's volume knob and I get a clean sound, even with some medium level picking. I really like OD's that I can control with the volume knob to cleanup (like a fuzz face). Any new or used gear 25 or over gets shipped to you for FREE via our favorite carrier, Fed Ex ground, to all lower 48 U.S. However, my issue with it is that it hits a weird high-mid frequency thing for me that affects the attack that I don't really bond with. ![]() Why organic Well, simply put, its the clearest, most natural feeling. I know the Greer Lightspeed is beloved and can see why. From Greer: The Lightspeed Organic Overdrive is a very natural sounding overdrive.
